AUTHOR'S BIO

Some people sit down to write a book, while others find the book writing them. In the case of author Shelley Reichenbach, her new book, The Crushed Rose - Trusting in God to Renew and Restore Relationships, was literally written by the hand of God. With no desire to write about a personal devastation, Shelley could not help but be inspired with words that could have only come from her Sovereign God. When optimism seemed totally absent, her unwavering faith and trust in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ gave proof that hope truly does spring eternal.

Before writing this book, Shelley spent many years as a loving schoolteacher of young children in grades kindergarten through second grade. After 25 years in the educational arena, Shelley retired from teaching in 2005.

Late in the year 1990, without any warning, her perfect Christian marriage came to a sudden halt. Shelley’s husband left her for another woman! In addition, during the years of 1991 to 1996, Shelley’s life was turned upside down, leaving her shattered and in despair.E-mail Shelley
As a practicing Christian, Shelley was faced with pain that was indescribable. There simply were no words to explain the fear, hurt and pain she felt. When attempts to persuade her husband to rethink his decision proved to be futile, she knew that God was her ONLY hope! For five very long years, she cried, prayed, and prayed some more, asking Him to restore her life, her home, and her marriage.Home
Soon after her husband left, Shelley was inspired to keep journals and notes, pouring out her heartfelt feelings onto their pages. Almost every day during those many years, she wrote about her experiences, thinking that perhaps one day she would share her journey with someone who might be stirred and encouraged by her insights. Although no one thought her prayers for restoration would ever be answered, she continued praying and trusting her Lord God. Shelley’s faith and conviction that He answers prayer and fulfills His word came joyously true.Back to Order Page
In March 1996, one week after what would have been their 26th wedding anniversary, Shelley’s husband came home! Not only did he come home… he came home to celebrate their life together. Since his return ten years ago, Shelley and her husband give the glory to God in a way they have never done before. Now, as an inspiration to hurting women everywhere, she shares the words and experiences penned in her journals in this newly published book, The Crushed Rose - Trusting in God to Renew and Restore Relationships. Without any doubt, Shelley knows that even when there seemed to be no hope, keeping her faith in God and His promises was the real reason her life and marriage were miraculously restored.
